Mama’s Pizza, a local pizza chain that has been enjoyed in Fort Worth for over 50 years, is coming to Dallas this spring.

According to the Dallas Morning NewsMama’s Pizza is one of the oldest restaurants in North Texas. Mama’s opened in 1968 in Fort Worth, and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018.

The restaurant is expected to open in 2-3 weeks, and will feature a commissioned mural of Dallas’ legendary sites with trains traveling around the murals, according to the District 13 Newsletter.

Mama’s Pizza serves pizzas ranging from 8 inches to 20 inches with 18 topping choices and several crust options. Mama’s also serves salads, sandwiches, wings, chocolate chip cookies and bread sticks.

There are currently nine other locations around Tarrant County, including Arlington, Mansfield, North Richland Hills, Hudson Oaks, Burleson and Granbury.

The new location will be at 11828 Inwood Rd. in the Forestwood Shopping Center.
