Vandelay Hospitality Group, the company behind Dallas favorites like Hudson House, D.L. Mack’s and Drake’s Hollywood, is opening a new restaurant concept in Preston Hollow later next year.

The new concept, The Anchor Bar, is a full-service restaurant and raw bar serving Vandelay’s famous oysters and new hand-cut maki sushi dishes like the rainbow roll, coconut shrimp roll and crispy rice.

The Anchor Bar will also serve American favorites like Vandelay’s famous cheeseburger and new seafood dishes like the Anchor Bar Filet, Seared Diver Scallops and a Miso-glazed Arctic char.

The yacht-inspired bar will open its first location on Knox Street in early 2023, with the Preston Hollow location to follow with a 6,082 square foot space with 159 seats in the dining room and 20 at the bar.

Speaking of the bar, the cocktail menu will feature an entire selection devoted to the “World’s Coldest Martinis,” a Frozen Bellini, and the Lovers Mule, a mix of cucumber vodka, fresh lime and ginger beer.

The Anchor Bar in Preston Hollow will be located at 10720 Preston Road in Preston Royal Village.
