Lucky’s Chicken, a retro-inspired drive-thru with Nashville chicken flavors, is opening a new location in Preston Hollow this summer.

The chain brought its first outpost in Dallas proper to East Dallas in September of 2020 and is opening three new Dallas locations in Oak Lawn, Webb Chapel, and Richardson soon.

Lucky’s retro restaurant features red and white checkered vinyl floors, oak-slat booths, 60’s-era aluminum-banded countertops, and old-school signage throughout.

The décor may be old-school, but the chicken staples come with four levels of heat that may require some caution. The menu boasts four levels of heat (No Heat, Feelin’ Lucky, Damn Lucky, and Best of Luck that come on chicken tenders and sandwiches such as the Big Lou, which features a house-baked butter bun stacked high with tenders, slaw, comeback sauce and pickles, or the Slider Combo with one tender, one slider, pickles and slaw.

Lucky’s Chicken offers a variety of sides, including mac ‘n’ cheese, coleslaw and “Howlin’” fries tossed in a secret spice blend and topped with Lucky’s sauce and spicy ranch. Family menu options are also available.

The Webb Chapel location at 3106 Forest Lane will open on Monday, July 11 and will be open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
