Caleb Cathey, a rising eighth grader at St. Mark’s School of Texas, won the title of Mr. National Congeniality 2022 at this year’s National Youth Conference.

The conference is organized by churches of Christ and seeks to bring the youth of common faith together for workshops and activities. The title of Mr. National Congeniality is given to the student who excels in expository speech and an on-theme presentation against four divisions of students from around the country.

As the titleholder, Cathey represents the National Youth Conference year-round in promotional videos, speaking engagements and appearances at other competitions. He was also awarded a four-year scholarship to Oklahoma Christian University.

Caleb isn’t the first Cathey to win this award. His brother, Noah, held the title in 2019, the last year that the conference was able to be in person.
