Cooper Clinic is adding another physician to their preventive medicine lineup this month with Dr. F. Ryan Harris, a St. Mark’s graduate.

Harris came from Crossroads Medical Group in Tennessee where he worked in family medicine and specialized in chronic disease management, mental wellness, in-office procedures, preventive medicine and urgent care.

“With the increasing demand for preventive medicine, we are pleased to expand our Cooper Clinic staff with the addition of Dr. Ryan Harris,” said Camron Nelson, MD, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cooper Clinic. “Dr. Harris has a strong background in comprehensive adult preventive care. We welcome him as the newest member of our excellent preventive medical team.”

After graduating from St. Mark’s School of Texas, Harris obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Princeton University and a certificate in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Texas at Dallas. Later, he attended The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.

“I’m delighted to join Cooper Clinic’s renowned preventive medicine team to deliver thorough annual preventive exams to my patients,” said Harris. “I value Cooper’s proactive, preventive approach and am pleased to deliver individually-tailored plans of action to help my patients live healthier, longer and more productive lives.”

Harris also brings his experience with volunteerism to the role, having spent time in Athens aiding at refugee camps and interpreting at the Monday Clinic in Dallas.

Cooper Clinic provides preventative exams to give patients individualized, in-depth pictures of their health and an action plan to improve results.
