Many Dallas restaurants allow our furry friends to join us. It wasn’t until 2019 that Texas passed a law allowing dog owners to take their pets into certain restaurants with patios. The law requires that restaurants have a posted sign stating that animals are allowed, and the animals must be on a leash and stay outdoors.

Preston Hollow is home to many restaurants and cafes with expansive patios and plenty of shaded eateries that welcome furry friends.

Here are three favorites, offering everything from healthy eats to coffee.

True Food Kitchen in Preston Center has two dog-friendly tables on the patio. The kitchen serves healthy eats, including vegetarian and vegan items such as pizzas, salad, sandwiches and bowls.

La La Land Kind Cafe is known for its stunning patio with crisp white lines, giant umbrellas and plenty of room for your pooch to spread out. The cafe hires foster youth and aims to spread kindness through coffee, with items such as The Butterfly Latte or “The Queen” Avocado Toast.
