Twelfth Street Ministry

Twelfth Step Ministry, a recovery nonprofit organization based in Preston Hollow, is raising addiction and recovery awareness for National Recovery Month.

National Recovery Month has been happening every September to support new treatment and recovery practices for addiction and mental health.  The national month was created by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration in 1989.

Twelfth Step Ministry is offering its services to those who either struggle with substance or behavioral addiction or know someone who does.

The organization hosts over 40 meetings weekly for 16 different areas of addiction, including Alcoholics Anonymous and Families Anonymous. The meetings are free and don’t require any membership.

“Due to the anonymous nature of the groups we support, our organization is relatively unknown. We are one of the best recovery resources in the southwest region, and we don’t want to be a secret any longer. We welcome all who desire a safe, inclusive community in which to heal,” Twelfth Step Executive Director Andrea Tabor says.
