October is officially the start of spooky season, which means Dallas Public Libraries have a haunting event and activity lineup for our neighborhood.

Both Park Forest and Grauwyler Park libraries have the month packed with fun treats for kids to enjoy.

Find out what Halloween and fall themed events are coming up.

Tiny Pumpkin Painting

Kids can paint a small pumpkin however they’d like in the Park Forest auditorium and bring it home with them. This activity will run from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13.

Halloween Trick or Treat Bag Decorating

Before the big night of candy and scares, there will be an opportunity to design those trick-or-treat bags. All supplies will be provided by the library. The event starts at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 at Grauwyler Park.

Registration is required and can be found here.

Outdoor Fall Festival Carnival

There will be free games and crafts, free hotdogs and drinks and prize giveaways from 6 p.m,- 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 at Grauwyler Park.

Park Forest Halloween Costume Cavalcade

Get a goody bag and have your picture taken all day if you wear a costume. If you don’t wear a costume, the library requests you say “Trick or Treat!” to get a treat. This event will happen all day on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Park Forest.
