A home on Northaven Road is featured in this year’s American Institute of Architects (AIA) Dallas Tour of Homes.

The home tour, which includes a total of eight Dallas homes in multiple neighborhoods, will happen Nov. 5 – 6. It is completely curated by local architects and “showcases the best in residential architecture,” according to the website.

Bernbaum/Magadini, the East Dallas-based architecture firm helmed by Bruce Bernbaum and Patricia Magadini, designed the Northaven Road home. It was damaged in the October 2019 tornado and rebuilt. You can read more about that in our story from October 2020.

“The design of the new home considers classic mid-century elements while bringing it into the modern era with updated amenities and practical spaces, like a tornado shelter,” reads the description.

A blend of modern and retro elements and an open kitchen layout, the home was also expanded by 1,000-square-feet.

Tickets for the home tour range from $20 – $150 and can be found here.
