A Preston Hollow woman was recently honored with the Maura Women Helping Women Award by the Texas Women’s Foundation.

Jill Louis was presented with the award at the nonprofit’s Leadership Forum and Awards Celebration on April 27 at the Omni Dallas Hotel.

A managing partner of Perkins Coie LLC’s Dallas office, Louis was among five Texas women honored with the Maura Award. In addition to her role at Perkins Coie, Louis hosts RelevantNow, a podcast devoted to discussing the convergence of business and public interest, with an emphasis on environmental, social and corporate governance related topics.

According to the TWF’s website, the Maura Award is given to those who utilize “their role in leadership to advance opportunities to serve the unique needs of women and girls,”. The award has been given to distinguished women in leadership for 44 years.

Louis’ work includes advancing opportunities for girls in STEM through her involvement in the Links Incorporated STEAM Programs, serving on the board of Girls Inc. and providing counseling to teen mothers at Parkland Hospital, according to a Perkins Coie press release.

In addition to honoring Louis and other awardees, the TWF event included forums with Maura Award recipients discussing their careers and panel discussions hosted by best-selling author and co-host of NBC’s TODAY, Jenna Bush Hager. TWF raised over $572,000 at the event.
