Brighter Magazine is hosting a ‘closet cleanout’ fundraiser next week.
The publication seeks to provide the only lifestyle magazine for women affected by all forms of cancer. It’s operated entirely by women, and releases a quarterly print magazine that features personal stories, fashion and general lifestyle.
“Brighter’s mission is to benefit the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well being of women affected by cancer,” says communications coordinator Caitlin Sweany. “We accomplish our mission through our publication and programs that encourage, equip, educate and empower women from their initial cancer diagnosis throughout survivorship.
A group of interns from Hockaday School donated their clothes and organized the event to benefit the magazine. It will be held on July 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the intersection of Tibbs St. and Azalea Ln.
Pricing is negotiable, and all funds will go to support Brighter Magazine’s mission.
