Dallas PI Dylan Fisher thought he was done with his ex-wife—but now he’s solving her murder.

This is the setup to author Harry Hunsicker‘s latest novel, The Life and Death of Rose Doucette. It’s a crime mystery tale set in Dallas, where Hunsicker grew up. He’s a fourth generation native to the city, graduating from the Episcopal of School Dallas.

The novel is the latest in a career of Dallas crime stories from Hunsicker, who gained notoriety for his series about a cop with the unfortunate name of Lee Henry Oswald.

Hunsicker will be presenting The Life and Death of Rose Doucette in-person at Interabang Books on October 2 at 6 p.m. The night will begin with a discussion about the novel, followed by a book signing. It’s free and open to the public.
