The Department of Defense will be conducting training exercises around Dallas-Fort Worth until the end of next week, the Dallas Police Department announced.
According to a DPD press release, training involving “air and ground mobility operations across the Metroplex,” will take place from Jan. 13-24. DPD and other local law enforcement agencies will also support Defense Department personnel over the course of the training.
The release states:
Safety precautions are in place to protect our residents, along with those participating in the exercise. Planning considerations were made to minimize the impact to the community and private property.
DPD 911 is aware of the training.
The operation is part of routine training exercises and not part of a response to any world events, the release states.
