Name-dropping is frowned upon in many social circles. But for the next few weeks at White Rock Coffee locations around Dallas, it means free coffee — and a scoop.

Beginning Monday, WRC’s Instagram account will post a daily list of names. If a neighbor finds their name on the list, they can go to any WRC location and receive a free seasonal drink. The Lake Highlands-born coffee chain is also collaborating with Tongue in Cheek Ice Cream on the deal, so after customers collect their free drink, they can head to either of Tongue in Cheek’s two locations for a free scoop.
Proof of name will be required to claim a free coffee.
The deal is set to run for the next few weeks, but there is a possibility that the Name Drop offer extends beyond that time frame, WRC leadership said.
WRC’s current seasonal menu features cold-weather comfort drinks like apple cider, peppermint white chocolate mochas, butterscotch-loaded Charlie Brown espresso drinks and sopapilla lattes, made with honey and cinnamon.
