The Compass School of Texas is preparing to host it’s second annual Compass in Bloom: Farmers Market on April 26.

The annual event is open to the public, and aims to help students put their skills to the test in a real-world marketplace where they “sell handmade goods, market their creations and engage with the community.”

Third grade students will provide sparkling water, dehydrated fruits and vegetables, energy-boosting health bars and homemade jams.

Second grade students will bring in teas, crackers, salad dressings and healthy cereal.

First graders have been working on fermentation and dairy with hand-churned butter, cream cheese, probiotic rice yogurt and breads.

Kindergartners have made handcrafted soaps, fizzy bath pods, aromatic candles, exfoliating body scrubs and infused oils.

Pre-K made dog treats, muffins, lip balm and hand cream.

Additionally, all of the students have been planting and harvesting vegetables in the school garden and tending to campus chickens, which will provide eggs and produce for the market, according to a press release.

Local vendors are also invited to register and sell products alongside these students. Sponsorships are also available.

The Campus School of Texas is located at 5414 Northwest Highway. Valet parking will be provided.
