Celebrate Mother’s Day at one of these events

With the holiday coming up, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the special women in your life. Give the gift of delicious food at one of these places in the neighborhood.

Republic Tavern

The tavern will serve a three-course meal on Sunday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Options include short ribs, crab cakes, and vanilla bourbon pancakes. Kids 12 and under can enjoy a $12 menu.

Mother’s Day brunch at NorthPark Center 

Nordstrom Nordy-Club members can enjoy an exclusive Mother’s Day brunch. Members can choose a 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., or 11 a.m. time slot. Tickets must be purchased online before May 7.

Juniper Village at Preston Hollow 

Celebrate the holiday with a tea tasting hosted by The Cultured Cup. The event will be held at Juniper Village on Saturday, May 10, at 3 p.m. The exclusive tasting will include teas from around the world, finger sandwiches, and pastries. It is free to attend. 

Escondido 

The Tex-Mex restaurant will host a Mother’s Day brunch featuring breakfast tacos, French toast with strawberries and dulce de leche, and huevos rancheros. Specialty cocktails include a carajillo martini, a bloody mary, and a michelada. 

Tj’s seafood market

Tj’s Seafood Market will serve a Mother’s Day brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu includes brioche French toast, smoked salmon frittata, and smoked salmon bagel.
