Dallas’s first large-scale concrete in-ground skatepark opened over the weekend at Bachman Park

On Saturday, the city held a ribbon-cutting for the new outdoor park. The park is designed for scooters, skaters, rollerblades, and BMX bikes. The 45,600-square-foot park invites all levels of skaters to enjoy the Street Scape Area, Flow Bowl, Snake Run, and Pool Bowl. It’s professionally designed by skaters for skaters.

The eagerly-awaited skatepark is Dallas’ second outdoor skating facility, giving more options to skaters across the city.

The project cost around $3.9 million and was funded through the city’s 2017 bond program.

For those who want to enjoy the new skatepark, it’s located at Bachman Lake at 2530 Webb Chapel Extension.
