Dallas Pets Alive is hosting its 11th annual Pup Crawl this Saturday in Lower Greenville.

In time for National Pet Month, pets and their owners are invited to enjoy the lovely weather, local food, drinks, and support saving the lives of healthy and treatable pets in North Texas through DPA’s services. All dogs must be on a short leash, must be spayed or neutered, and be up-to-date on vaccinations.

DPA is committed to eliminating the killing of companion animals in North Texas through resources and education. Volunteers mostly run the animal-focused nonprofit; they rescue healthy pets at risk of euthanasia. The organization assists pet owners who have problems so significant that they have to surrender their pets to a shelter.

Through the nonprofit’s Positive Alternatives to Shelter Surrender (PASS) program, families can access the financial assistance they need to keep their pets happy and healthy at home.

All proceeds from the Pup Crawl will go toward saving the lives of healthy and treatable pets across North Texas.

DPA is one of 300 nonprofits anyone can support through North Texas Gives to Animals, a fundraising campaign by Communities Foundation of TX through NorthTexasGivingDay.org, which is running through the end of this month.

Check-in for the event starts at 11 a.m. at Truck Yard at 5624 Sears Street, and the crawl runs from noon to 4 p.m. You can find tickets here.
