Pride Month is celebrated from June 1 to June 30.

On Friday, the city of Dallas will raise Pride flags over city buildings in honor of Pride Month.

The city and its partners will hold an official Pride flag raising ceremony and a Resource Fair at Dallas City Hall Plaza to kick off Pride Month; music will be provided by DJ Eternos.

Some groups and departments in attendance include the Dallas LGBT Employee Association, the Dallas Fire Department, the Dallas Police Department’s LGBT Liaison, the Dallas Arboretum, the Mavericks and Wings, Texas Latino Pride, Lambda Legal, city council members, and many others.

Pride flags will fly above city buildings throughout June for Pride Month. City partners will illuminate the downtown skyline with multi-colored lights from May 30 to June 1 in support of Pride month.

Pride Month is a celebration of LGBTQ pride, which celebrates the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community and culture.

The ceremony will be held Friday, May 30, at 5 p.m. at the City Hall Plaza located at 1500 Marilla St. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be indoors at the Flag Room located at City Hall 6FN.
