Bill Roth wins the City Council District 11 seat over Jeff Kitner in Saturday’s runoff election.
Roth won the runoff election with 53% of the 7,610 total votes. In the May 3 election, Roth received 48.36% of the votes and Jeff Kitner received 45%; with neither of them winning more than 50% of the votes, they had to face in a runoff.
This election brought in more voters than the May 3 general election, with a 23% increase from the 6,178 who voted last month.
Lorie Blair also won this runoff against Erik Wilson for the City Council District 8 seat.
As stated on Roth’s website, he is committed to keeping families safe, improving city services, protecting single-family homes, increasing transparency in city government, and reducing taxes for Dallas residents.
Roth has called North Texas home for over 40 years and believes the city needs to improve public safety, repair crumbling infrastructure, eliminate wasteful spending, and focus on enhancing the lives of the people living and working in Dallas.
