Nineteen students from the W.T. White High School choir competed at the state UIL competition at the University of Texas. They racked up several awards in addition to the UIL Sweepstakes awards earlier this month.
Students who received first division medals are: Griselda Cortez, Brittney Sewell, Jade Watkins, Caine Frederique, Juan Aguinaga and Racquel Jones.
Second division medals go to: Jacorey Upshaw, Jennifer Melendez, Vanessa Serreano, Ami Nami, Kyle Barnes, Linda Schiestal, Demetrio Teniente, Marvin Melendez, Isaiah Rice, Walter Zeyala, Anna Plunkett and Jatsive Hernandez.
The third Division medal recipient is Racquel Scaggs.
