Students at The Lamplighter School celebrated the Lunar New Year on Wednesday, featuring the ceremonial lion dance performed to a drum beat. The “lion” danced “before cheering students who patted him on the back as he danced his way through the crowd before finally collapsing of exhaustion,” the photo release tells us.
The Lunar New Year (2015 is the Year of the Sheep) is a 15-day event that begins with the first lunar new moon of the year and celebrates new beginnings.
