I’m beginning to see the "Our Students, Our Future" yard signs everywhere promoting Dallas ISD’s $1.35 billion bond issue. Some of the supporters and opponents of the bond have already been discussed on Back Talk, but parents and neighbors who want to know more (Why this dollar figure? What will it pay for? How will it impact my kid’s school?) can ask all of their questions at upcoming town hall meetings hosted by Dallas ISD trustees.

Just for the record, the school district says bond funds will be used to improve all of its 222 schools.

Here’s a schedule of town hall meetings in the area:

• Trustee Jack Lowe (District 2)
Thursday, April 17
6:30 p.m.
K.B. Polk Recreation Center, 6801 Roper

• Trustee Dr. Edwin Flores (District 1)
Tuesday, April 29
6:30 p.m.
Marcus Recreation Center, 3003 Northaven

If you can’t attend either of these, find the full list here.
