As always, it was a spirited group of Panthers marching and driving down Hillcrest Road in front of the high school for the annual Homecoming Parade Oct. 23. As a run-up to the big Homecoming football game against Woodrow Wilson, current Panthers joined future Panthers and lots of alumni in touting the school spirit of Hillcrest, as well as the elementary and middle schools in the feeder pattern. I had a great vantage point as one of the parade judges (thanks for the invitation, Hillcrest!), while my son, Jack, handled the video camera.
