A husband, wife, and their young son died Wednesday night in a house fire near Forest and Abrams. The victims, were Michael Levine, 47, his wife Romina Mulloy-Bossio, 35, and their son Ariel Levine, 4, who attended St. Christopher’s Montessori near SMU.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but investigators suspect it started in the first-floor study. They believe the parents were altered to fire, ran upstairs to get their son, and were ultimately all trapped there. Investigators also say the house had smoke detectors that appear to have been functioning, but could not determine if they sounded or not, due to extensive damage.
