This weekend Puente Concessions will open a second Urban Taco at Parkland, causing me to rethink the whole “hospital food” concept. First, news that Society Bakery is opening at Medial City — and now, Parkland is getting a bona fide taqueria. In my book, those both beat the cafeteria stuff.
The Urban Taco at Parkland will share a space with UFood Grill, also run by Puente Concessions, a new casual café that will offer healthy baked, grilled, and steamed entrees — which doesn’t sound nearly as fun as tacos al pastor.
