At 3:20 a.m. Saturday, May 8, someone broke into a home on Currin, gaining entry by breaking the window of the child’s room. The burglar stole $2,000 worth of jewelry before exiting through the front door.

The homeowner, who was out of town that night, said the burglar seemed to know exactly where to look for the valuables.

The family had notified its alarm system company before leaving town, stopped delivery of the newspaper and boarded the dog at Petsmart. The homeowners had interior lights on automatic timers and left the exterior lights on.
