Rathbun’s Blue Plate Kitchen in Preston Center has something new on the menu – lemon bars created by a local chef who also happens to be 11 years old.

Jenay Benge dreams of being a pastry chef one day. So, she’s been taking cooking classes at Central Market and has had personal instruction from Kent Rathbun himself. He’s encouraging the up-and-coming chef by featuring her lemon bars on his menu through the month of September.
