For most young mothers, one of the first questions they might ask each other is “Where does your kid go to school?” Beginning as early as preschool, the decision of where to enroll your child can be a long process, especially in Preston Hollow where there’s a smorgasbord of private school options while our public elementary schools are receiving more “Exemplary” and “Recognized” ratings from the state.
You can hear more from the public sector at a community meeting, “The ABC’s of DISD” at 7 tonight at in Meaders Hall at Cochran Chapel United Methodist Church. Coordinated by the North Dallas Early Childhood PTA, attendees will hear from several DISD elementary schools, outlining what each one offers and answering questions from parents. There will be representatives from Nathan Adams, DeGolyer, Gooch, Withers, Walnut Hill, Kramer, Pershing, Dealey and Preston Hollow.
