The Friends of the Northaven Trail will host a fundraiser at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Fish City Grill at Preston and Royal where a portion of sales will benefit the group.

Group leaders will be on hand to answer questions about the trail construction. For details on the overall vision of the trail, check out our previous coverage. More recently, trail developers have been studying Northaven’s connection to White Rock Creek Trail. Dallas County has committed $2.5 million, matching the amount the city has put forward for the part of the trail that will extend from the Jewish Community Center to Preston.

They are currently studying four potential routes to make that connection to White Rock.
