The Katy 5k is set for 6-9 p.m. May 12 in Reverchon Park, and registration is almost sold out. More than 5,000 people participated last year, raising $140,000 for trail management.
The event also includes a mini food festival and family activities such as face painting and a bounce house. A Kids Point 5k Dash for children 13 and under starts at 6:10 p.m. The regular race begins at 6:30 p.m.
Registration is $35 and includes entry to the 5k and the after party picnic. The kids’ race is $10. Go here to register.
