Ever wonder about the stories and skills behind some of our city’s most beloved architecture? Students in grades 9-12 can learn all about it and rub elbows with the architects themselves during the Destination Dallas Summer Architecture Workshop. It runs 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 20-24, and the deadline to register is May 27.

Architect and educator Peter Goldstein will lead the week-long workshop in which students will visit buildings, including the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Wyly Theatre, the Winspear Opera House, the Meyerson Symphony Center, the Trinity River Audubon Center and The Rachofsky House. Students will also receive a look at some of the projects still under construction like the Woodall Rodgers Deck Park.

While on the tours, participants will hear from the renowned architects behind these structures: Pritzker Prize Laureates Renzo Piano, Richard Meier, Norman Foster, Thom Mayne and I. M. Pei.

Register here, but hurry. There’s only space for 20 students – otherwise, your name does on a waiting list.
