Forty-one teams, including neighborhood groups like the W.T. White Key Club, will converge at the Town North YMCA for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, camping out from 6 tonight until 6 in the morning. Team representatives are always walking/running on the track.
The event raises awareness about the fight against cancer, allowing people to remember their loved ones lost and celebrate survivors.
There’s still time to sign up or you can just donate to the cause online.
Other local groups participating include students from St. Monica, Hockaday, Jesuit and Ursuline Academy.
