We often see children riding their bicycles around the neighborhood for fun, but one group of Preston Hollow pre-schoolers had a bigger goal in mind – raising money for the American Red Cross.

Ava Dahlander, 5-year-old daughter of Jon and Heidi Dahlander, organized a Bike Rally Saturday morning on her street near Royal and Marsh. Her friends decorated their bikes, played games and had a parade. Together, they raised $76 for the American Red Cross, and an anonymous donor matched the amount.

Now, $152 will be sent to help victims of recent tornadoes, earthquakes, wildfires and flooding.
