Get your icing and gumdrops ready – Lovers Lane United Methodist Church is hosting its annual Family Gingerbread House Contest 5-6:45 p.m. Dec. 11 in Asbury Hall. Proceeds benefit Exodus Ministries, a local nonprofit that helps female ex-offenders restart their lives after leaving prison. It provides housing, job search assistance and other resources to help break the cycle of generational crime.
Registration for the event is $20. Also, bring an unwrapped toy to donate to members of the Exodus program.
