What would you like to see in the city’s 2012 bond program? And what’s the status of the new Preston Royal Library? Two neighborhood meetings will cover those subjects this week.

District 13 councilmember Ann Margolin hosts a town-hall meeting at 6:30 tonight at the Walnut Hill Recreation Center to get neighbors’ input on what they’d like to see in the 2012 bond program. We know that it’s a slim package at about $550 million, and every district wants a fair share of improvements. Can’t make it tonight? There’s a joint meeting with Margolin and Linda Koop (District 11) at 6:30 p.m. March 6 in the Hillcrest High School library.

Remember back in May when we heard about plans to construct a brand new Preston Royal Library at Forest and Nuestra? We heard lofty ideas about making it a much more communal space with green features. Get an update on the plans during a community meeting at 6:30 p.m. March 1 at the Preston Royal Library.
