The Population Media Center, a national organization that addresses overpopulation issues, recently branched out into a Texas chapter that meets right here in Preston Hollow.
Paul Rodgers, a member of Midway Hills Christian Church, launched the local chapter, which meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church at Midway and Royal. The nonprofit group will meet monthly to discuss ways to encourage social change when it comes to overpopulation through solutions such as better family planning.
It’s pretty heavy stuff, but the Population Media Center uses “entertainment-education” to get its point across. At tomorrow night’s meeting, they’ll screen the documentary, “Mother, Caring for 7 Billion.”
