Forty-four girls from Preston Hollow received the Gold Award from the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. It’s the highest award earned by high school Girl Scouts – comparable to the Eagle Scout award in Boy Scouts.
The earn the Gold Award, girls must find an issue they’re passionate about, execute projects and fundraising events related to the cause and recruit others to take action.
