The Dallas Police Department wants you to be wary about who rolls up on your curb.
Apparently people are calling residents and showing up at their doorsteps claiming to work for a curb painting company. The scam artists are telling homeowners that the DPD is requiring them to display their house numbers on their front curb.
Police say they’ll paint your curb and demand payment even if you decline service.
The City of Dallas nor the police department is requiring such action. Call 911 if someone shows up at your house and says otherwise.
