W.T. White art club students decorated a chair for Chair Art in the Park, a youth art contest and auction at Klyde Warren Park May 11.
Following the theme “Everyone needs a Hero,” the art club’s chair will be auctioned off with all other donated chairs. The proceeds benefit the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, and the Business Council for the Arts sponsors the event.
Jurors selected five winning chairs for the live auction, and all other chairs are up for bidding in the silent auction. The silent auction lasts from 11 a.m.–5:15 p.m. And the live auction and awards go from 4–6 p.m.
