In honor of the Nasher Sculpture Center’s 10th anniversary, the museum commissioned ten new works to be displayed throughout Dallas. The free exhibition, known as the Nasher XChange, is the first citywide museum-organized public art display in the U.S. Through Feb. 16, visit NorthPark Center to see the art installation nearest to Preston Hollow. ‘Fountainhead’, a virtual fountain created by Los Angeles artist Charles Long, projects images of sheets of dollar bills moving over the surface of a sculpted, head-like form, flowing like water, accompanied by an elegant soundtrack of moving water and paper. Visitors can donate to Bookmarks library, Dallas CASA, or the North Texas Food Bank at three kiosks with iPads located near the exhibit. After visitors donate, they can flick a virtual coin on the iPad screen toward the form, resulting in an exuberant splash.
