Update: The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Pedro Calixto-Valente. It’s also been revealed that the man was stabbed to death before falling out of the moving car, the DMN reports. The suspect is still at large.
In a developing story this morning, a man has died after an incident in which he either jumped or was thrown from his SUV near Coit and Churchill Way. The vehicle then crashed near Akiba Academy. Police are searching for another occupant and have launched an active murder investigation, WFAA reports.
Man on the run is described as a Latin male with a red bandana and dark clothing and was last seen running north on Coit.
Akiba has been put in lock-down while the search continues. Police have not confirmed details surrounding the incident or if the two individuals knew each other.
