W.T. White High School is one of just five schools in the nation to receive a $10,000 grant from AT&T Aspire to help at-risk students prepare for their careers.

AT&T Aspire, a corporate school outreach organization,  will partner with W.T. White’s DECA program to provide students with speaking and presentation engagements, job shadow opportunities and field trips.

DECA is a program for high school students pursuing marketing, finance and business management.

The grant will be formally announced during the DECA State Career Development Conference on Feb. 25 at the Downtown Sheraton Hotel Convention Center in Dallas.
