The closest fireworks display for Preston Hollow neighbors is the Memorial Day Concert & Fireworks Display, May 28, 8:15 p.m., at Flag Pole Hill, Northwest Hwy. & Buckner Blvd. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra will play patriotic music. The event is free.

The Thai Culture & Food Festival, created by the Thai Community Center of North Texas, is May 26-27, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at The Buddhist Temple of Dallas, 8484 Stults Road. Look for a schedule, including a parade here.

Backdoor Comedy presents a special Memorial Day show, May 27, 8 p.m. The show features the “Best of Backdoor,” spotlighting some of the hottest comics in North Texas.
