The Bath House Cultural Center, built in the 1930’s as a recreational spot near White Rock Lake, is a piece of art itself, but now it’s a hub for art connoisseurs.

For five weeks, beginning May 4 and ending June 9, the photography program at Greenhill School hosts an exhibit showcasing students’ work. Frank Lopez, the photography teacher for this program picked 23 students to show their work.

Maya Desai, a senior from Greenhill School, is one of the artists whose photography is being shown. Her portfolio
depicts Bhutanese refugees as immigrants. “Prayer” portrays how women from the Bhutanese refugee community can now gather and freely participate in their religion.

The Greenhill School photography program focuses on how technology can influence cultural issues

Desai says that Lopez has “put together an amazing exhibition with many talented artists. It’s a great opportunity for the community to see unique pieces.”
