Jordan Lawler (21) may have had the most impressive overall workout during drills, he sits back on a breaking ball here an drives one into RCF for a hit. Really impressive early on. #PGNational pic.twitter.com/VHrmSL4xrQ

Jordan Lawlar, a baseball powerhouse at Jesuit and Vanderbilt commit, had a stellar performance at an annual summer showcase for the top 2021 Draft prospects in the nation, the MLB said in an article posted yesterday.
Held from June 17-21 at the Hoover Met Sports Complex in Hoover, Alabama, the Perfect Game National Showcase invited scouts to watch these incoming high school seniors play against each other and participate in workouts.
Jesuit standout Lawlar ranked No. 6 Â out of 10 on the showcase’s top performers list that scouts created after the five-day event. Lawlar recorded the fourth-best 60-yard dash time at the event and received attention for his “knack for finding the barrel and generating line-drive contact from the right side of the plate,” the MLB reported. Scouts say that Lawlar has the skills to stick at shortstop.
Lawlar ranks No. 19 on the MLB’s top 2021 Draft prospect list posted last week.

This is what makes Jordan Lawlar (@jordanlawlar11) special. Dude is always hustling and thinking extra bases. Stretches a hard hit single into a double off 90-plus MPH pitching for @DTigersBaseball 2021 Hernandez.
