The Hockaday School continued its 11-year partnership with T.R. Hoover this week.
Students from the school visited the community center last night to pass out presents to 45 kids who participate in the organization’s after-school program. They were joined by a student from St. Mark’s School of Texas, who was dressed as Santa Claus.
The students also had a tree lighting and took part in a chili dinner provided by T.R. Hoover.
T.R. Hoover’s mission is to “strengthen, empower and provide holistic, collaborative services that impact the South Dallas community through affordable housing, economic and community development.”
In addition to this annual holiday event, Hockaday helps organize summer camps, offers tutoring and assisted in building their community garden.
