A new video shows recent progress on construction of the Northaven Trail expansion.

Over the past few months, support columns have been added, and part of the bridge extends over the service drive.

In one of our recent magazine issues, we told the story of how the Northaven Trail came to be and what led to the current project, the bridge to connect the trail to other neighborhoods east of Central.

The bridge is expected to be completed within a year, and groundbreaking on the project happened in May last year.

We reported that the project, which will connect the Northaven Trail to the Cottonwood Trail/White Rock Creek Trail and eventually the SoPac Trail, was estimated to cost $9.3 million.
