The Ireland Funds, a global philanthropic network for the Irish community, has named Sean Donohue as the recipient of the Distinguished Leadership Business Leader Award. The announcement was made Monday at the Dallas Arboretum.

Donohue is the CEO of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. He will be honored during the Emerald Ball on Saturday, March 18, at The Adolphus Hotel.

“I am honored to be selected by The Ireland Funds for this prestigious award and look forward to March 18,” Donohue said in the press release.

The Ireland Funds National Board Member and Preston Hollow neighbor, Thomas W. Codd, recounted the organization’s history and introduced Donohue.

“We look forward to honoring Sean with the Distinguished Business Leader Award. A great leader, he has shown his ability in running one of the most successful airports in the world. He’s also a great family man and friend.”

The Texas Emerald Ball’s honorary co-chairs are Mary Lee and Fritz Duda, community leaders and supporters of The Ireland Funds. There will also be a musical performance by Irish singer Chloë Agnew. More details about the Emerald Ball can be found here.
