Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson appointed Dallas Park and Recreation Board President Arun Agarwal as chair of the Community Bond Task Force (CBTF) Committee last week.

Agarwal, who is also a Preston Hollow neighbor and founder of Nextt USA, will be a part of assisting the Dallas City Council and city staff in reviewing and selecting projects for the 2024 Capital Bond Program.

The CBTF is made up of 15 members with one member appointed by each City Council member and a chair appointed by the mayor. The task force will review the city’s $13.5 billion needs inventory and recommend a $1 billion package of priorities, according to the Office of the Dallas Mayor’s blog.

There are three areas of focus (called the Three P’s) in the bond program: public safety, potholes and parks.

The CBTF and subcommittees will begin meeting in May.
